What do you work on and why is your research important?
I work on the effect provoked by external environment (stress or diet) on the 3D folding of the genome and on how these changes impact on nuclear function. These basic questions are essential to understand the mechanisms that control gene expression and cell behaviour in different contexts.
What is special about your former institute?
The Institut Curie constitute a very international and multidisciplinary environment, where it is possible to follow several courses and constantly attend to interesting talks and meetings.
What is special and what do you like most about your current institute?
for the moment I only had my interview and I haven't started yet to work at FMI. However, I have been strongly and favourably affected by the enthusiasm of people working there, and by the friendly environment that clearly impacts on people efficiency at work.
