Bioinformatician (RNA-SEQ AND CHIP-SEQ Data Analyser)

Description

Molecular biology lab studying the regulation of gene expression and its role in cancer onset is seeking a person with strong expertise in bioinformatics to analyze RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data obtained in human cell lines and develop a pipeline for their analysis. The three steps of the project include: read assembly and alignment, post-processing of sequence alignments, transcriptome analysis and functional annotation. Lab web site HERE

Requirements

  • Theoretical knowledge of bioinformatics and bioanalysis
  • Experience in NGS data analysis, in particular in the fields of alignment and assembly
  • Script language (Python)
  • Programming language as C++ will be strongly appreciate
  • Knowledge of statistics
  • Good knowledge of English is required
  • Degrees: MSc. in bioinformatics or computational biology/molecular biology
  • Interest in CLIP-seq data analyses is a plus
