The successful applicant will be driving cutting-edge research projects aiming at understanding the mechanisms regulating replication fork stability in BRCA1/2-deficient cancers.
Some of the key questions of our project are the following:
• What is the molecular composition of stalled replication forks in BRCA1/2-deficient tumors?
• What are the DNA repair mechanisms occurring at stalled replication forks in BRCA1/2- deficient tumors?
• Can we develop new strategies to study stalled replication forks?
This project has clear clinical implications since increased replication fork stability has just emerged has an integral mechanism of PARP inhibitors resistance in BRCA1/2-deficient cancers.
Prospective postdoc applicants have a Ph.D degree in molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics. The ideal applicant has further expertise in proteomics. She/he has a strong publication record with at least one first-author paper published in a high-profile journal, allowing her/him to apply for competitive stipends/fellowships and to finally proceed towards an independent academic research position. Great communication skills are needed, together with appropriate organizational capacities.
If we caught your attention, please send your application to Dr. Raphael Ceccaldi (curie.altEJ@gmail.com), including your CV, a letter of motivation explaining why you would like to join our team and contact information of at least two referees.
