 Context:

Institut Curie is one of the largest European institutions for cancer and biomedical research with strong interdisciplinary traditions. It is located in the center of Paris in France, in a both cultural and scientific rich environment. Projects will be developped under the supervision of Vassili Soumelis (Group Leader) and Sebastian Amigorena (Immunology Department Director). Our Immunology Department includes 8 independent research teams in the fields of basic and applied immunology, working in a very collaborative and international environment.

Job description:

In direct interaction with Vassili Soumelis and Sebastian Amigorena, the successful candidate will coordinate the LABEX DCBIOL and tumor microenvironment programs. More specifically, he/she will be in charge of:

  • Scientific coordination of the projects,
  • Support scientific and technological developments,
  • Contribute to secure project fundings through active grant writing in all project biomedical areas,
  • Initiate and coordinate scientific collaborations with relevant academic and industrial partners,
  • Help to coordinate and animate scientific events (seminars, courses, workshops, retreats),
  • Support organization of data management and administrative issues,
  • Monitor and collect administrative documents and expenditure statements for the different partners,
  • Ensure smooth running of the programs and coordinate project progress reports (tasks, milestones, budget), including mid-term assessment, task reports, annual reports and final report.

 

Profile:

  • Experience in immunology research (PhD or post doc) is required.
  • Bilingual French-English would be a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficient in the use of all office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ..) and tools/software to share data and information
  • Be organized and reactive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines
  • Team spirit and strong interpersonal skills
