TENURE TRACK GROUP LEADER POSITIONS TUMOR IMMUNOLOGY & COMPUTATIONAL CANCER BIOLOGY

The European Institute of Oncology (IEO: http://www.ieo.it/en) is one of Europe’s most influential cancer research institutes. The IEO operates as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, linking fundamental and applied research to clinical activities, patient care and clinical trials.

The Department of Experimental Oncology, currently composed of ~250 scientists working in 15 independent research groups and units, is seeking Junior Group Leaders working at the leading edge of cancer biology. Current topics of interest include – but are not limited to – tumor tissue organization and evolution, tumor immunology, tumor-associated genomic, epigenomic and transcriptional dysregulation. We will welcome expertise in tumor immunology and functional genomics, as well as integrative computational modelling across large-scale biological datasets. The institute will put particular emphasis on the development and implementation of Precision Medicine, creating strong opportunities at the interface of basic and clinical research.

IEO provides postgraduate education through the European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM: http://www.semm.it) with PhD courses in Molecular Oncology, Computational Biology and Medical Humanities. The working and teaching language at IEO and SEMM is English.

IEO is part of the EU-LIFE alliance of European top research centers in life sciences (EU-LIFE: http://eu-life.eu).

Successful applicants will be recruited under a Tenure Track scheme and will receive a competitive salary and start-up grant for personnel and research expenses.

IEO is an equal opportunity employer committed to excellence through diversity.
