Trainee Animal Technician

Description

We employ staff with a proven interest in animal care at a trainee level. You will be supervised and supported during your initial twelve months.
 
During this time, you will be trained in basic animal care, record keeping and routine duties as set out in our Standard Operating Procedures. You will also attend day-release training for Institute of Animal Technology national qualifications.
 
We are interested in you if you are:

  • Willing to learn
  • Passionate
  • Keen to be in a fast moving professional team environment
  • Have a desire to work in the field of Laboratory Animal Technology
  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential
  • Educated to GCSE Level and possess a minimum of 3 GCSE-s at Grade A-C (or equivalent)

Starting salary is up to £18,945 per annum plus a £2,000 allowance depending on experience.
