Two new research groups leaders


The director of CEITEC Brno University of Technology announces selection procedure for: Two new research group leaders

CEITEC BUT is a scientific center of excellence bridging the life sciences with materials science and advanced engineering offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and excellent working conditions.

To support their expansion, RP1 Advanced Nanotechnologies and Microtechnologies and RP2 Advanced Materials Program are seeking two new group leaders in academic position to work at the cutting edge of advanced materials and nanotechnologies. The preferred topics of interest for the RP1 Advanced Nanotechnologies and Microtechnologies include – but are not limited to – nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, spintronics, nanomechanics, energy harvesting (e.g. photovoltaics, fuel cells), and nanobiotechnology. The RP2 Advanced Materials is seeking outstanding individuals in the field of polymer synthesis, additive fabrication, biomaterials and interactions between cells and materials.  The research activities should as much as possible exploit equipment in the CEITEC Nano Research Infrastructure.

Tenure track positions will be offered to the successful candidates along with a start-up grant for personnel and research expenses up to 126,000 EUR per year for three years.


The prospective applicants are required to provide the following:

  • Clear evidence of an independent track record in the research field of advanced materials and/or nanotechnologies related to at least one of the above cited areas.
  • Concise description of previous achievements and current research interests
  • Future research plan (4 pages max)
  • Name and address of at least three referees.
