Research Data Management

Research data management is the whole process of handling research data, from its entry into the research cycle through to the dissemination, sharing, archiving, and destruction.

As part of the research process, Research Data Management aims to make the research process as efficient as possible, and meet expectations and requirements of the institutes, the research community, research funders, and legislation. It contributes to FAIR data and Open Science.

At EU-LIFE we actively foster Open Science, we contribute to the Open Science Policy Platform, and are engaged in the discussion of Plan S. The aim of this Task Force is to push Research Data Management forward in the EU-LIFE institutes by sharing best practices on the design and implementation of institutional Research Data Management policies, on training aspects and the role of the core facilities through internal workshops.
