Registrations for the VIBes in Biosciences 2017 biannual international PhD symposium are about to take off! VIBes is an initiative from VIB and gathers young and ambitious scientists from all over the globe to enjoy a top-quality conference. 

VIBes features established top-speakers such as Ruedi Aebersold, the proteomics godfather, and Jeff Lichtman, creator of the Brainbow mouse, next to many other renowned speakers and promising young talent active in the fields of immunology, plant biology, cancer biology, structural biology, neuroscience and microbiology. Academic speakers are complemented with young founders of start-up companies in Life Sciences.

​The conference starts with half a day workshops during which PhD students will be trained in soft skills, including networking, knowing your own talents, project management, drafting scientific figures and impactful presenting. The conference ends in style with a dinner and a party featuring one of our in-house DJs. Registrations open on 20th April 2017!

We offer 50 travel grants covering your registration, travel and accommodation expenses for international PhD students! There is a free beer tasting visit to the local Gruut brewery for the first 100 registrations.
