As an alliance of leading research centres in life sciences, we advocate for a better research value in and for Europe. Since its foundation in 2013, EU-LIFE has become a relevant stakeholder in European policy participating regularly in the European Commission policy dialogue. Our priorities focus on research strategy and funding, European Research Area, Open science and research infrastructures.

Research strategy and funding
Investment in research and innovation is at the core of economic and social development of any society at any time. World leading Research & Innovation is critical to the promotion of the wealth and well-being of citizens. Addressing the Sustainable Developmental Goals calls for a long-term vision on the contribution of Research & Innovation.

European Research Area
EU-LIFE strongly stands for making the European Research Area a reality and advancing in Open science.
Gender Equality
Gender equality is one of the key values of EU-LIFE and a priority of action. As we aim to build and promote excellence in life sciences throughout Europe, our commitment to excellence is also a commitment to gender equality.

Research infrastructures
More and more scientific disciplines depend on costly technologies and equipment of smaller scale. They provide essential, cutting-edge technological support to thousands of researchers on a day-to-day basis across Europe.
