Call for posters

The aim of the 'Envisioning the research centres of the future' call for posters is to provide a platform to all the scientific community, including our members and collaborators, to showcase initiatives that are enhancing research organisations.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The research places of the future
  • Research culture & environment
  • Research facilities & services
  • Research governance
  • Success stories in science (scientific, knowledge transfer, community building, etc.)

Posters will be displayed in the EU-LIFE 10th Anniversary Conference, and all attendees will have the opportunity to talk to the authors at different slots of the event. At least one of the poster authors is required to register, attend in person and exhibit the poster at the conference.

A poll will be organised during the conference. The most voted-for poster will be announced at the end of the event and published in the conference web page. Furthermore, an interview with the author will be published in the EU-LIFE website.

Submission process

This call for posters is open to all the scientific community. It is addressed to all professionals promoting and working on science in research institutes, universities, national agencies, funding agencies, NGOs, etc.

The deadline to submit abstracts is 15 February 2023 22 February 2023 (deadline extended!). Results of selection process will be communicated to all applicants by 15 March 2023. Authors of accepted abstracts are expected to design and print their posters, as well as to exhibit them during the conference. Posters shall be of A1 size (portrait) and must be written in English.

Selection process

Submitted abstracts will undergo a thorough selection process carried out by EU-LIFE Chairs and EU-LIFE Office Team. Key selection criteria will be clarity, relevance, timeliness, novelty and originality.

Important dates

  • 15 Feb 2023 – deadline to submit abstracts - Extended to 22 Feb 2023!
  • 15 Mar 2023 – communication of results to applicants
