  • EU-LIFE active in 2 EC stakeholders’ platforms: Open Science Policy, European Research Area (ERA)
  • 5 EU-LIFE Statements, open letters and papers: Horizon Europe, Plan S, Health research, ERA, Future of scholarly research publications
  • 2 campaigns: Deal4Science and support to Horizon Europe
  • 1 EU-LIFE policy event in Brussels: workshop „Towards recognition of the role of small and medium sized research infrastructures (SMRI) in Europe“
  • 2 EC Consultations: Horizon Europe, research infrastructures
  • 2 Contributions to EC reports: citizen science, indicators for open science
  • 35 meetings & events including with EC’s Commissioner M Gabriel, Commissioner Moedas’ cabinet (A Vicente, K Sequeira), EC’s Director General of Research & innovation (JE Paquet), Members of the EU Parliament and Member States’ REPERs.
  • 5 new nominations for high-level policy committees within EU-LIFE community (individual appointments): EIC Pilot Advisory Board, ERC Scientific Council, Cancer Mission Board, Missions’ Assemblies

 

INSTITUTIONAL PRACTICE AND EXPERTISE

  • Design and launching first call for the EU-LIFE Visiting Postdoc Seminars Programme
  • Workshop “Building capacity to train researchers in Storytelling”
  • Session on “Data Management at research institutes: challenges and solutions”
  • Writing of 3 joint proposals: Innovative advanced training, core facilities management, MD-PhD programme
  • EU-LIFE scientific workshop “Signalling & Gene Regulation in Health & Disease”
  • EU-LIFE Strategy & Community meetings

  • Election of new EU-LIFE Co- Chair
  • EU-LIFE Expansion Plan : launching first call and electing new partners
  • Communication capacity: new website & establishment of Twitter strategy
