Office & Lab Space
The EU-LIFE Space Task Force was created in 2024 with the aim to share best practices on how to efficiently deal with office and lab space in research institutes, and to provide potential solutions for the most common problems when planning and repurposing space.
Research institutes face a variety of challenges related to managing office and lab space efficiently. Intensified research activities, growing institutes and technological advancements coupled with financial constraints are examples that put pressure on the existing infrastructure in institutes. The Space Task Force offers a room for discussion on how to deal with these issues, specifically involving the people who are currently concerned with managing the space in their institutes and hold decision power; and asking them to share ideas on potential solutions.
