Esther Dorado-Ladera joined EU-LIFE in July 2021 as Communications Officer. She has extensive expertise in science communication developed in previous positions, such as Dissemination Officer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where she managed the communication of European research projects, and Science for Policy Officer at the AE Cardiff Hub for the Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Commission, where she gained experience in editorial review, collaborative writing, international networks management and public engagement. She has also volunteered in outreach projects with different institutions such as National Museum Wales and 48h Open House Barcelona.
Alongside her communications work, Esther is an active academic. She teaches in the Art History department at Universtity of Barcelona and her current research focuses on Gothic Revival architecture. She holds a degree in Architecture, a Master’s in Medieval Cultures (UB) and a PhD in Theory and History of Architecture (UPC).
