Towards recognition of the role of small and medium sized research infrastructures (SMRI) in Europe

The objective of the meeting is to bring together various stakeholders with a vested interest in research infrastructures and define actions to further strengthen the role of SMRIs. To reach this objective we have the following aims for the meeting:

• Discuss a possible definition of SMRIs; at least establish some core elements
• Share information on stakeholder activities in the research infrastructures
• Establish an informal coalition of those willing to engage in further activities
  around SMRIs field

The participants of the workshop are 15 experts from various stakeholder organisations.
