Help equip biomedical institutions with tools to implement changes in research assessment!
If you work in the administration and governance team of a research performance institution, join the upcoming SAGA Virtual Brainstorm! This workshop is a call to action for professionals to engage in a co-creation process to develop a whitepaper for a feasible action plan template that will be used to equip research institutions with knowledge and strategies to implement changes in their respective research assessment schemes and organizational procedures.
Organized by the CoARA SAGA working group, one of the communities of practice of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), it will be held online on 16-17 May 2024. It is planned as an asynchronous event, so participants are welcome to select which session(s) to join depending on their availability, interests, and professional experience (click here to see the schedule).
The first day, the discussion will focus on project and institutional assessment, and the second day on hiring, retention, and promotion of staff. With time for input talks, open discussions and collaborative writing time, the topics of the sessions will include:
- Intramural project funding
- Institutional assessment and monitoring
- Quantitative indicators for the assessment of individual researchers
- Assessment criteria and good practices for hiring, retention and promotion
