5th Ghent Gut Inflammation Group Meeting
The ‘Ghent Gut Inflammation Group’ (GGIG) is a collaborative network of research labs at Ghent University focused on studying various aspects of intestinal biology in both health and disease. Exploring the intricate interplay between the intestinal microbiota and the host, and its impact on intestinal and systemic health, requires a multidisciplinary approach. To tackle these challenges, GGIG brings together expertise from four different UGent faculties.
Every two years, GGIG hosts a symposium that highlights cutting-edge research on intestinal biology in health and disease. This two-day event is designed to spotlight junior scientists, offering them a platform to present their latest findings. It aims to foster interaction and collaboration among early-career researchers while building a dynamic network of scientists interested in intestinal mucosal immunology. Though junior researchers take center stage, the symposium welcomes scientists of all levels.
