Making training resources from European projects accessible to all

In addition to the scientific projects and collaborations among EU-LIFE members, the alliance is partner of projects in different areas such as responsible research & innovation, gender equality, open science and citizen science. One of the main outputs of these projects is the development of training resources in specific topics, which are free and open to all. Access to these materials is now provided on the training section of the EU-LIFE website, which will be updated regularly with new content.

Training the next generation of independent researchers and experts is a major priority for EU-LIFE and its members. EU-LIFE centres offer a variety of international PhD and postdoctoral programmes which are embedded in a strong research environment and benefit from the EU-LIFE’s network. EU-LIFE is also part of the Emerald project, an International PhD Programme for Medical Doctors with the aim to push forward personalised medicine.

Moreover, the EU-LIFE Recruitment & Training Working Group shares good practices and builds capacity within the alliance to ensure continuing professional development and mobility experience for researchers at all stages of their careers. The last publication of the working group is a hands-on guide for research institutions on best practices for postdoc career support in the life sciences.
