The 4th Day of Intravital Microscopy

Keep me posted

Intravital Imaging allows for the spatio-temporally resolved observation and quantification of cellular processes in homeostasis and in disease settings in their native tissue microenvironments at resolutions not achieved by other techniques. In order to accurately understand highly dynamic events in real-time in disease settings such as cancer, metabolic, neurologic, immunological disorders, infectious diseases, or even just during development, intravital imaging has emerged as an indispensable and highly adaptable tool.

The 4th Day of Intravital Microscopy is an annual meeting organized by the team “Intravital Microscopy” of the GerBI-GMB e.V. and held this year in collaboration with the Intravital Imaging Expertise Center of the VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology on the 13th + 14th of November 2024 in Leuven, Belgium.

This conference will bring together experts from academia and industry with technique and skill exchange being the key focus of the meeting. A strong emphasis is further to allow early career researchers to present their work and engage with experts in the field. The meeting will cover novel discoveries facilitated by the use of intravital imaging, a showcase of a broad range of intravital imaging applications, novel techniques, and instruments as well as ethical considerations.

The 4th Day of Intravital Microscopy will further be followed by a separate VIB Training Day in Intravital Microscopy on the 15th of November.
